My public apology

Forgive me for a moment while I don sackcloth and ashes and walk around the virtual town square yelling “unclean”.

Recently your humble host was scheduled to appear as a guest on an internet-based radio show called Treehouse Fort, an event about which I was greatly looking forward. Unfortunately, my LIVE phone-in coincided with the “Carb Night Burger Bash”, which as you know I was all to happy to be at while chattering away with many of you. My plan was to try to multi-task by brifely ducking out and doing the interview for a few moments during the event, but I was so caught up in talking racing with those of you there that I totally lost track of time and missed the interview.

So why am I bringing this up now many days later? Because I kept intending to write something and I never got around to it, which only serves to underscore the how much I slighted Matt Sussman and his quality program. It was wrong, it was unprofessional, and I am really, REALLY sorry that I did not represent the IndyCar series to his audience on the biggest weekend of the year.

As a sign of penance I will link to Matt’s show in the sidebar for the remainder of the racing season. Please enjoy the BC Sports Treehouse Fort whenever you feel the need to get an entertaining take on sports beyond auto racing.

I will now go back to criticizing others because I am a giant hypocrite.
