Yes friends, this professional broadcaster butchered ALL THREE names. It only goes downhill from there as Kilmeade refers to the Indy 500 as "The Great American Race", which last I checked was the pitch line for that NAPCAR race in Florida every February.
He also concluded the interview by confusing Dario with Tony and then pitching his book. That's right - Kilmeade, the interviewer, is pitching his book. And making matters worse he talks about the the drivers mentioned in the book, like Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch...excuse me while I have an aneurysm.
That explains why they all look ON FIRE to be there.

Probably accused the Indy Car Series of being Liberal Racing and asked each one of them to see their green cards.
ReplyDeletekilmeade... what a maroon! as i watched that interview i was getting more and more embarrassed for the drivers. i've never understood how a journalism professional can botch names of guests. but the classic faux paux was the self-promotion of his book! YIKES!!!

ReplyDeleteBK is not just a 'journalist'....he got his start in sports journalism. Regardless, it's up to the segment producer to make sure shit like that doesn't happen. Surprised they'd be so sloppy...Tools.
