Sarah Fisher, the first woman to secure a pole position and finish as high as second in an IndyCar Series event, adds another first to her résumé: team owner.Thanks to the ever-vigilant pressdog for forwarding this to me at 5am.
Fisher, 27, will announce Wednesday at Homestead-Miami Speedway that she will field a one-car, part-time effort this season, becoming the first woman to own an IRL team since the series launched in 1996.
"We're at about eight employees, not including myself," Fisher said. "This isn't something I really thought about doing until recently. It's been a little stressful, but I've had a great time doing it."

Nice move for her. I assume she's keeping the AAMCO sponsorship. It'll be interesting to see how she performs, and whether she can build toward a full-time program for 2009.
