Jeff, it's true! Since Jonathan Byrd left after sponsoring Indy Cars for years, Chip really is the BIGGEST supporter of open-wheel racing. Hell, the shadow of Chip's ass weighs 20 pounds. He's so fat if you stabbed him he'd bleed gravy. He's so fat when he sits around the pits he really sits AROUND the pits, etc.
(BTW, no disrespect intended for Mr. Byrd, who was one cool dude when he sponsored Indy cars through his chain of cafeteria's and KFC franchises. I met him at IMS one year, and would never slag him.)

eh, you can't argue Chip's commitment to open wheel. He likes to win in open wheel, but that says a lot for him. If you notice when there is a NASCAR and Indy race on the same day where he is. He'll still be in the IRL next year with two, possibly three cars. Knowing the guy, his heart is in an open wheel car, but he is a business man also and he knows where the money is. If open wheel guys want to go to NASCAR, better for them to go to teams like Ganassi & Penske who still give back to the Indycar series than to somewhere like Childress or Roush who could give a crap whether or not they even hold an Indy 500.
Floyd Ganassi and Dario Franchitti show no loylaty and love to the IRL.
