Thank heavens for small favors

Dancing With the Stars announced their latest roster of contestants, and fortunately there are NO DRIVERS.

Huzzah, your humble host is spared from another weekly shredding of his man-card!

Although, I'm almost intrigued enough to tune in to see if Monica Seles grunts during her routines. Almost. But not quite.

UPDATE: In what was surely the tipping point in convincing the CCWS to fold into the IRL, Helio will be appearing on Oprah's show tomorrow. Now that The Oprah has chosen her side the open-wheel war is effectively over. Later on Friday, Danica will be on Ellen's chatfest.

Helio, Oprah, Danica, Ellen. When you're HUGE you only need one name.

This cast is pretty lame and, with no Maksim to keep me suitably entertained, I won't be watching.

I just don't do much TV, and giving up two nights a week to follow Helio was tough - yay for no racers! I've always admired figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, so I'll probably follow her dances...on YouTube...at my leisure...

    Are we merged yet? LOL!

Yahoo says a press conference is scheduled for Friday at 11 am. I'm sure this will change and fluctuate between now and then, depending on which source you read. The neat part is the merging of the two historical databases.

Man, with the news of these racers falling for all this "touchy feely" junk with Ellen and Oprah, I DEMAND Paul Tracy appear on The Jerry Springer Show, perhaps on an episode titled "My Racing Series is Folding AND I'M MAD!"

C'mon Paul! show 'em you're a man! Then go pile-drive Montoya! I'm pretty sure he said somethin' about your momma!

Helio's going to be on Rachel Ray too... that's the talk show that got Hillary to open up about Bill's affairs.

    Tread carefully, Helio. =)
