Looks like another media announcement is forthcoming this week.
Dale Coyne Racing will announce its 2008 driver lineup Wednesday, March 19 during an Indy Racing League teleconference that also features ESPN/ABC announcers Marty Reid and Scott Goodyear, IMS Productions President Charlie Morgan and Indy Pro Series driver Richard Antinucci.
Dale Coyne Racing will field a two-car team in the IndyCar Series in 2008 after competing in Champ Car since 1984.
It is believed that Coyne will announce two drivers for the entire ICS schedule, and those drivers will be Bruno Junqueira and Mario Moraes - both of who hail from (where else) Brazil. It is not believed that "Mario Moraes" is actually Paul Tracy in disguise.
(Thanks to Will at Is It May Yet? for the alert.)

It should not have come as a surprise to anyone that Kyffin Simpson was

OK, what's ICS...
ICS = IndyCar Series, meaning the top level of the IRL (Indy Racing league).
IPS = Indy Pro Series, which is the "100 miles of fury" step below the ICS.
Believe it or not I usually get annoyed with acronyms, but those three are almost necessary around here.
Good to see Dale Coyne come onboard.
He may not run up front very often, but you have to admire a guy that committed to racing.
For further clarification for anonymous: The Indy Racing League (IRL) is made up of the IndyCar Series (ICS) and the Indy Pro Series (IPS). Welcome aboard, you are going to enjoy the IRL, especially once the former CC teams get up to speed on the ovals. The Month of May will provide plenty of running time for the CC teams to gain knowledge and experience with oval setups, especially the downforce factor. After May, I think the CC teams will become very competitive on the ovals. In regards to the IPS, I absolutely love the IPS cars on ovals. Very very exciting. I had the benefit of seeing them at Chicagoland last year (Guinness Book of World records recognizes it as the closest motorsports finish ever). I kid you not. I watched the finish and had absolutely no idea who won because they were side by side, until they announced it.
Looks like there will be even more to be merrier. According to Autosport.com this morning:
IRL:
Conquest sign
Bernoldi for 2008
Conquest Racing have announced they have signed Enrique Bernoldi to partner Franck Perera in the IndyCar Series
This was the guy that Rocketsports said "wasn't interested in driving ovals" - guess they missed on that one.
Dale "Not Much Coyne" is kind of the DRR/Foyt of Champ Car, so the circle is complete.
47 days until the track opens....
yes, I'm counting the days.
