See this? This is the car Dan Wheldon was supposed to run at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. Pretty sweet-looking car, eh?
Well, it doesn't look like that anymore. As you can see in this video from practice today, something broke on the car which sent everyone's favorite dental patient careening into the wall at TMS, ricocheting across the track and bouncing onto his head. No sir, not a fun ride at all.
TrackSide Online reports that Dan had some ankle pain but he has been medically cleared to qualify in the backup car this evening. That would be his usual red Target car.

I bet the Polaroid people are a bit disapointed.
When this type of thing has happened in the past, the one-time sponsor's branding has shown up at the next race - so my guess is that Dan will be driving the Polaroid car at Iowa.
