Don't know how much or for how long, but Curt Cavin says...

Helio Castroneves has agreed to terms with Team Penske that will keep him driving in the IndyCar Series for years to come.

Castroneves confirmed the news to The Star today, but he would not reveal the length of the contract he expects to sign soon, perhaps this weekend. Team president Tim Cindric was at the NASCAR event in Daytona Beach, Fla., and could not immediately be reached for comment.
You think The Captain locked up Helio at a discounted rate since he's winless in his last 24 races? Yeah, me neither.

Apparently so are TK and Well Done as reported by AutoWeek.com here:http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080623/FREE/270408423/1553/contact

Maybe Helio, Wheldon and Kanaan took a gander over at what Dario and Sam Hornish got going in n-word and thought, "you know, maybe IndyCar don't suck after all."

    That's EXACTLY what Dan said

As for Wheldon, once known to want to move to NASCAR, he said series unification and the struggles of Dario Franchitti in Sprint Cup have rekindled his interest in Indy-car racing.

"I think they've got a lot of shovels going on," he said of Chip Ganassi's NASCAR team. "But honestly, with the way [the IRL] is right now and they're going to have more races and I think more testing, I'm excited to stay."
