Time to cool off

Excuse my whilst I give a plug to the sponsor, but this is why I love TrackSide Online (sign up today). Today in one of several missives sent directly from Nashville Speedway the braintrust at TSO managed to pass along this amusing anecdote about everyone's favorite nose.

(Tony) Kanaan's weekend got off to a poor start when the air conditioning went out in his motorhome for the second week in a row. However, not having air conditioning is much worse this weekend than it would have been at Watkins Glen - so Kanaan rigged up an air conditioner from Best Buy in an effort to keep cool.
What's funnier - the fact that there isn't a single engineer at AGR that could take a few moments to fix the A/C in his RV ("Hey dude, we don't work with those") or the image of Nariz rolling out the nearest Best Buy to score himself some summer-related hardware like the rest of us.

"Do you have a Rewards Zone card?"

"Are you interested in purchasing a warranty extension on that today?"

"Would you like a free subscription to Entertainment Weekly?"

Oh, the madness! Come to think of it, Kanaan's a pretty savvy guy; I bet he just sent his buddy Jamie Camara to get it for him.

If Tony had sent Jaime to get the A/C, it would still be stuck in the middle of a ten-car pileup. Obviously, Tony drove.

It was even included in the Daily Track Report on Indycar.com. (Along with AJ's cataract) His bus got struck by lightening Wed. night. He has the rigged air conditioning and a fridge. Everything else is fried. I'd be visiting my neighbor. He could have stayed on Marco's bus last night-he's in Lime Rock running ALMS.

His A/C was out in Richmond too-- which was obviously not so good. He ended up staying in a hotel in Richmond cause he thought it would be a one time deal but apparently not!
