Scheckter has some Coyne

Sunday he was going to drive for 3G, yesterday Cavin reported that he was likely with Conquest, now it appears he Tomas Sheckter has signed on with Dale Coyne Racing. According to Derek Daly, Tomas will turn his first laps of the month tomorrow in the #19 Dale Coyne Racing Dallara.

Kudos for James for scoring the info from the incomparable Derek Daly. An unofficial My Name Is IRL source had been deployed to the scene, but that report was substantially less than conclusive.

"I went over to Tomas's bus, he had a sponsor hat/shirt on and I said 'Jeff from MynameisIRL.com wants to know the scoop', then I said 'I'm taking a picture of you in your outfit and sending to him.' He laughed and said 'Everyone has to wait for the press conference because they are putting that stuff together and will have an official announcement'.

"So with that said, I think the paint is still drying and there is a shot he will be in a car as early as tomorrow, but I can't give out the sponsor name because then he would drown me in the hot tub that we expect to show up behind his bus like the last couple of years."

Clearly, future efforts should be made to use Derek Daly as a source instead.
