"To do the Indy 500 you have to be going at it. It would be unreasonable for me to expect to get in the car and go and win it...You have to have a good season in that kind of thing so I don't have any particular desire to do that." - Lewis Hamilton, who despite his aversion towards The Greatest Spectacle In Racing says he would like to try Le Mans, N****R, or even Moto GP. But not Indy. Possibly even funny cars, hydroplane racing, or even the Twelve Mile 500. But definitely not Indy.

Psch; let me know when he's interested in the 24 Hrs of LeMons
to be honest, i think he's just saying he doesn't want to take a year out to do an IRL; which he potentially feels is what he might need to do if he were to Indy a 'proper' attempt
...well that's what I think anyways
Ever since Micheal Schmacher went on 60 minutes and said racing open wheel cars on ovals was too dangerous, that has been the company line for all employed F1 drivers. And since the Emerson Fitipaldi and Nigel Mansell defections, its one that F1 won't disagree with and certainly has no interest in dispelling.
Sounds to me as if U.S. oval drivers simply have more guts than "Bernie's boys"...or maybe they fear getting their butts kicked on ovals...then they couldn''t call themselves the "best"
Take the three previous comments, mix well, bake at 350 for an hour, and you probably have the sum total of what's in Lewis' mind about running Indy.
That's a refreshing comment. He's right. How many drivers show up Only for the Indy 500 and you know all they're going to do is fill the field? They have no chance.
That comment seems like much more of a compliment toward Indy, and a bit of a dig at NASCAR. Just hop in a NASCAR, stomp the gas and knock anyone in front of you out of the way.
Can you forward this on to Darrell Waltrip, please?
