Carpenter to race in NASCAR event

Oh, wait a second...that's Carpentier. My bad.

Former Champ Car and Indycar driver Patrick Carpentier has confirmed that he will make his NASCAR debut in next month's Busch Series round in Montreal.

The Canadian has been attempting to break into NASCAR since last summer. He will drive a Fitz Motorsports Dodge in the first NASCAR event to be held in his homeland.

    Yeah, NAPCAR got the old Champ Car date on the Villenuve GP circuit up there. It'll be a parade of road course specialists, including Canadian journeyman Ron Fellows.
