This is old news now by now, and the furor has already died down. But I was
out of commission when this occurred and the reaction it brought is still

Interestingly, as I read this, I was listening to the description of Vuky's fatal accident (WIBC-Indy has been broadcasting classic sports the last couple of weeks, including a lot of old Indy 500s). It was somewhat jarring to listen to the description (Vuky wasn't even mentioned at first) knowing the eventual outcome.
Glad you liked my take on Sharp. I hope you had a great holiday season and New Year's!
While I still have plenty of misgivings on the league, I've been having a funny feeling lately that 2008 will be something pretty cool.
The Bill Vukovich site is... intense. I ran across it this past year and was fascinated, yet repulsed by the site's detail.
