Ya let me freaking tell ya...YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE IN JAPAN TO FEEL A FREAKING EARTHQUAKE! Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep this morning and the whole bed and nightstand started shaking, was it the dog? Nope, a 5.4 right here in Indiana! Actually it was in Illanoy, but..damn!
I love our little 5.x's we have here in the Ozark Dome region about every 5-10 years... This one woke up the whole house, I was already up and at my desk working.
Near as I can tell, this was the biggest one since 1968's 5.4. This morning's was a 5.4 as well and it shook my house pretty good.. First light I'll have to check my house for cracks (it's brick).
OK, fun's over... go back to sleep now. Rest up for tonight's race on ESPN2
p.s. I just heard from a friend in north Georgia who said he felt it too.
I slept through Friday morning's New Mardrid fault earthquake. Which sucks, because who knows when that'll happen again.
