Congratulations to Ana Beatriz Caselato Gomes de Figueiredo, a.k.a. "Bia".

First, Danica Patrick. Now, Ana Beatriz.

Beatriz became the first female winner of a Firestone Indy Lights race, overtaking pole sitter and Sam Schmidt Motorsports teammate James Davison on Lap 33 of 77 and winning the Sunbelt Rentals 100.

With the win Bia moves up to third in the Indy Lights standings, just 39 points behind leader Richard Antinucci.

    she is amazing. has great talent and potential. she is good at road courses and i cannot wait for mid-ohio. she should win there or at least have bunch of podiums.

    First off, that's probably not the best picture of her. She's not a glamour girl like Danica! but she doesn't exactly look like a man either.

    Also, we (myself, P1 and P2) had the good fortune of briefly meeting Ms Beatriz at Indy this year. She even let P2 hold her helmet ("Wow, that's really heavy!") before the Freedom 100, so she's got him as a fan for life.
