"I felt I could have gone quite a while more there. ... Honestly, I think I drove the best I have driven in my career last year. We were a B or C level effort trying to compete against the A teams. We were usually the next best car to finish after the A's. ... Showing up and hoping if we do our best, we can finish ninth, is not what gets me up in the morning. I want to win. That definitely played into my decision to walk away." - Scott Sharp, giving back the love that Bobby Rahal gave to him earlier this week. Tony George and Kevin Kalkhoven have worked out their differences, but we won't read about Scott and Bobby exchanging Christmas Cards anytime soon.

And in case you didn't read the full article, it also notes "Sharp said he isn't turning his back totally on the IndyCar Series — admitting that if a competitive ride were offered he would consider it."

Let's see ... Paul Tracy, Dario, Sharp ... all open to listening to quality rides. This is a HUGE news flash, almost as big as saying Danica Really Wants to Win. Which driver, exactly, is NOT open to hearing from a "quality ride?"

Ed Carpenter. There's your answer, 'dog.

Are you saying Easy Eddie wouldn't take a call from The Captain?

I don't think Scott was trying to get back at Bobby. He's been saying that same statment since the first minute he decided to leave. Reporters keep asking him the same questions, so he keeps giving the same answers.

And for what it's worth, I don't think Scott's even considering searching for an IndyCar ride. He appears to be thrilled in the ALMS, and has already won twice in 6 races. He and Patrón have certainly found a niche with Highcroft Racing, and I don't see either party leaving anytime soon.
