She's not speeding, she's qualifying.

No, this is not a repeat of a story from earlier this year. TMZ reports that AGAIN Scottsdale's Finest have brought the law to the little brunette with the lead foot.

Indy race car driver Danica Patrick has yet to learn that the funny little pedal on the left is the brake.

Cops confirm Patrick was busted earlier this month in Scottsdale, Ariz. for driving 54 in a 35 -- 19 over the speed limit -- which bested her last run-in with the fuzz where she was going 57 in a 40 -- only 17 over.

Danica received a citation and is due in court at the beginning of January.
Can't blame a girl for trying to get in a little off-season testing, given that the highest street course finish for Danica! this year was 10th at St Pete. Practice makes perfect.

I'm trying to understand why this is news???

My last speeding ticket was with my Cooper S on a fun & twisty road. Speed Limit was also 35 MPH & I was clocked at 59 MPH. The cop bought my excuse & wrote me up for 5 MPH over the limit. Still cost me $135 & a sure hit on my insurance rates.

Danica, like most readers of My Name Is enjoy a short term boost, over the posted speed limit.

Danica at least has the pro racing license to prove she is capable of handing her street car ABOVE those posted speeds.

I've also known other 'pro" drivers that ignored speed signs... they got out of most of those potential tickets when the cop knew of their day job

WTF is Ms. Danica doing wrong?? No IRL fans on the Scottsdale police force???

It's news because SHE is news, much like when LeBron James got pulled over for doing 101 in 65 mph zone back in January of 2008 and that made Sportscenter.

Good job, Jeff. Once again you have left the Cavin blog in the dust. Keep up the good work. Those so called "Professional" journalists have nothing on you.
