Audience participation: It's Pole Day

You know what that means? Well, it means Robert Doorbos has already torn up the car again in practice. That's twice already this month and it isn't even Mother's Day yet. As pressdog noted: Doornbos went looking for the oval runoffs and found them - they're called WALLS.

At any rate, we've got several hours of one-at-a-time action today, so feel free to make your predictions for the front row, guess who will be the highest qualifying driver outside of the "Big Three", or just tell us why the current qualifying format sucks. Just rememeber to do this all in 25 words or less. Thank you.

    the old style pole day was fine when they had 60 cars or whatever attempting to qualify. I think the new way is exciting for the limited number of cars now.

    The new system sucks cause it's confusing as fuck, i still didn't figure it out completly.

    how many more days of Paul Tracy crying about 2002 do we have to put up with?
    In the old days this would have been a short piece between showing the Bettenhausen's story and Mario and his pet pig in the Indy 500 Pre-race.

    For this I vote for the old style- as for racing I love the new format

    after watching today, it seems they should condense the time allowed for qualifying. say from 7hrs. to 3 or 4
