"So there was nothing I could do, and I was full stiff on the front bar already, and so I had no options left to play with and we sank like a rock. So it got worse and worse, and I was just hanging on to bring the car home, trying not to do a Mike Conway. I was just praying for yellows so we could pit and make some adjustments, but there were hardly any, until Con-weasel did his usual thing." - Paul Tracy, who has driven for three different IndyCar teams in the past 12 months but probably won't be on the Dreyer & Reinbold roster anytime soon.
So, What Did I Miss?

ah, if Tracy (or you, Jeff) shows up with a check for $2 million, poof, you're on the DRR roster.
Hey folks, this is just PT being PT. That's why all love him or hate him, because he says what is on his mind. Problem is, he was totally spot on, except the Con-weasle thing might had been a little bit harsh.
He's a pretty straight-shooter obviously...always has been. I'm sure if you asked him via the comments over at his Racer.com blog, he'd tell you why he said it.
Why is Tracy a "dick"??? Wasn't Indy the only race Mike Conway did NOT end up in the wall???
There are plenty of out of work Indy Light CHAMPIONS ( Servia & "Pink" Lloyd being two examples) out of work that would be cheaper for D&R then Conway's "rent" check!
Con-weasel is harsh, but in PT's view MC "weaseled" into D&R with a 2-3 million check. At least Milk 'n Donuts drives slow enough to keep CITGO from having to pay for crash damage in every race...
...Perhaps Mike Conway should have graduated from F3 & into Indy Light before he spent his $$$ in the ICS? Kimi Räikkönen he is NOT!!!

MC decided to thrown it into the wall during qualifying, so his dues were done for Indy then

"con-weasel" is Paul's uber nerdy attempt at being "fly". He thinks he's snoop dog some days. Can't explain it.
This is the same guy that said with a straight face, into a live camera, "who's the boss applesauce" along with some other rhyming line. Causing most of us to laugh and then bury our faces in our hands in embarrassment.
It's just Paul being Paul.
I love the guy (in a sisterly way) but pasty white guys from Scarborough shouldn't attempt to rap. Ever.
"...pasty white guys from Scarborough shouldn't attempt to rap. Ever..."
especially pasty 40 year-old guys
:D
Leigh: I was trying to be less of a "dick" to MC by only counting the race event crashes!!! I'm well aware of his "boom" in practice/ qualifying @ IMS. :) :)

No sweat - to be honest i remember watching MC when he was in GP2 a while back. He was always fast, but also prone to lots of "incidents".
There's always a slight groan of despair whenever he does have another incident, because I'm well aware of his potential for good results
Interestingly enough, it almost sounds like PT part 2...huge potential, very fast, prone to wadding up a car every so often. That's not at all dissimilar to Paul's...uh..."formative years"...with the Captain, then Newman-Haas...then Barry Green.
If we see MC go after Dennis Reinbold in the pits after an on track run-in with Scheckter or Milka, I'll begin to wonder if we're in some type of time warp, same story with different characters...
