    Jeff,

I'm thinking between an F-150, the 42 inch plasma, the stackable chairs, and an umbrella or two, we could build us a gen-u-ine My Name is IRL.com partymobile for tailgating before and after the races. If they have a Honda portable generator for the TV, even better! Get some safety cones to mark our tailgate territory and we shall be partyin' in high style my friend. Imagine lapping IMS on Community Day in that ol' Found On Road Dead with Johnny and Pressdog strapped in those rearward facing safety crew seats, a cooler full o' cold brews at their feet. With a set up like that, tell me posters here wouldn't pay to party on the ex-Champ Car partybarge. :^P

BTW, did you see any bar-b-q grills in the auction lots? It ain't a proper tailgate without a grill.

Wow. Thus ends CART, really and truly. I'd like to pause here for a moment to remember that ten years ago, this series gave us Zanardi in the dirt, Papis running out of gas in 4, Villeneuve's first major open-wheel win (Road America, was it?), almost every important moment involving Rick Mears, Danny Sullivan, Michael Andretti, Little Al, Paul Tracy, and Jimmy Vasser.

They also brought us some damn silly moments that helped lead to ruin. I guess the lesson to be taken from all of this is that some folks at 16th & Georgetown should watch this auction closely, because if they aren't careful, and don't work hard to put on a great show, it's a long fall with a real sudden stop at the end.
